▶ Start walkingThe 3D world is the Lands Department's photogrammetric survey of the city — the same data HK's government publishes as open data. Nothing is modelled by hand: the buildings, the pavement, the signboards over 西洋菜南街 Sai Yeung Choi Street South are photographic scans of the real thing.
Crowds shuffle along the real footpaths. Minibuses and taxis keep to the real carriageways. Press N and the district switches to night — signboards glow, lamps pool warm light on the tarmac. Press R for rain and the streets turn to neon mirror.
